What were some popular jobs in the 1980s?

I am doing some research and I am having problems locating information on the web. If you answer my question and have a website to go with it, please post the link for me! I am looking for about 10 jobs.

About the same as today, without as much emphasis on IT, naturally. One extremely popular job back then was stockbroker. Back in the 80's before the huge stock market crash in 1987 (Black Monday), it seemed that Wall Street stockbrokers were very popular. There was even a hit movie called "Wall Street" starring Michael Douglas.
