He would receive a ring, would not be considered an "active" participant, but the HOF would say he was "on the team", if he were to be inducted.

No offense but don't you think the Barry Bonds issue is pretty much yesterday's news? Let's face it, 99.9% of the world truly believes he took steriods, HGH, and who knows what else to gain an unfair advantage over his peers. The baseball community has labeled him a cheat. No matter what happens from this point forward his reputation is tanted. Whether he plays again for whatever team or not, I'm sure no one will care.
As a Yankee fan I would protect vigerously if Bonds were to join the team. I hate the fact that a cheating Giambi still remains on the roster. The sooner both Bonds and Giambi go away, the better.

I think that when the steroid investigation is made public and names some big name players alot of us are going to be ticked off . It's finished now but they are waiting until after the World Series . It could be a bigger fan turn-off than the players strike that canceled the World Series . Baseball has come a long way but hasn't recovered from that yet .

Nah. What the heck. Selig already screwed the pooch on the PEDs issue. Bonds is going to skate and there isn't diddly anyone can do about it. Now, will I be impressed? No. But if he gets the ring he gets the ring. I'm already enjoying today's talent and have pretty much dismissed Bonds.

Let me put it this way, there is little to no chance that Bonds will ever play for the Yankees. BUT! If he did, I would take a year off from baseball

Yes he would get a ring. Some people that aren't even player get rings for their involvment with the team. I wouldn't care if Bonds got one.

I think that most teams that consider themselves serious contenders next year would avoid Bonds. He is too much of a liability because of the steroids controversy, his age, his antagonistic relationship with fans, and the fact that he will be a distraction in general.

Yeah I'll be pissed. I'll even send in letters. Not that it would matter and perhaps won't even get read, but I'll send them in anyway. Bonds is a joke and a disgrace to baseball.

if you are participating and on the team when they win, you get a ring.
Even the smallest contributions get one.
