E-bay, local music shop, newspaper, musician's friend (music magazine), pawn shops, 2nd hand shops, yard/garage sales, Walmart..... Just about anywhere.

As for what they cost and what comes with...That varies so much.
A basic drum kit is a 5 piece. Bass drum, 2 tom's, floor tom, and snare. The cymbals cost extra and those come in a variety of sizes and prices as well. A basic cymbal set (16" and 18" crash and an 18"-20" ride and 13"-14" hi-hat's) will cost about $250-300 when purchased as a set from Zildjian or Sabian. Your Drum kit.... A basic Tama Rockstar (beginner level) brand new is gonna cost around $600-$800 depending on where you go.

There are several good brands to choose from... Tama, Mapex, Pearl, Ludwig (I don't know if they are still around), DW (Drum Workshop), Sonor, Remo (altho they are best known for making heads, aka "skins").

Then there are also Electronic Drums. Ones you plug into an amp/headphones/computer. They come in a variety of brands and styles and prices. The most popular electronic kits are by Roland. They are also the most expensive. There are some electronic kits out that run around $800-$1000 for the entire set-up. Any music shop will have books that describe and list prices. Also check e-bay.

Good luck and Happy Drumming.

Try www.bidz.com...I just got some music stuff from there, and they were good!

it was only a harp, but it only cost me 15 dollar, plus shipping...so all together, I pay like $50 dollars, and I am in Canada.
