I'm a person who keep's to myself. Introvert and a bit of a cynic. I find that when I'm out in a public place, like sitting at the foodcourt in the mall. I often look around and wonder what everyone else is doing. What dark thought or things they have going. Like that couple sitting across from me. Should they really be sitting there with their wife or husband? You know? I don't do this is a stalker kind of way. Am I'm not trying to be intrusive. They're just thoughts that pop into my head. I think it goes with me being a non-social person and a cynic. Especially in society today. But anyway, anyone else do this or am the only one?

If you can go into a food court, then there is hope for you yet! You have enough to worry about without taking on board the problems and dark thoughts of other people.

You are also not "non social". A cynic yes but as long as you keep these dark thoughts to yourself.then you are not hurting anyone.

Try writing a book about these people!!!!!

I would not venture into a food court.

I think it's perfectly normal to wonder about other people and their lives. I do it. I am fairly social, but do have a unsociable side that can make it hard for people to get to know me. But I have a large circle of friends and family, so it's not like I'm a hermit or anything. I think most people have a healthy curiosity about others.

I'm very social.... but I am a nosy person by nature. I want to know everything about everyone. I guess that makes me a gossip... Although I rarely repeat anything bad. I like to hear the good stuff. Like, who got a puppy.

I'm not going to lie, though. I like dirt as much as the next person.

It's fun to observe people in a non-intrusive way. However, it would not be so fun if they were to think that I was a threat of some kind to them.
