IMMIGRATION!!!!!!

We need to stop illegal immigration. We as nation need to step up and do what many cities, like, Tulsa, OK, Irving, TX and Mannassas, VA are doing. They are enacting laws making life difficult for those here illegally forcing them to move to other cities and in some cases back to their home nation. We need the federal government to take some of the same steps these cities are doing to make life difficult if not impossible for these law breakers.

Immigration is the one and only issue that if I do not agree with a candidate on I will not vote for him. Taxes, Environment, Iraq all those I can go against my feelings but this one I cannot.

taxes....We shouldn't have a federal income tax at all. If the government needs money to provide for the common defense, or to regulate interstate commerce, then there should be some sort of dues that the states pay in order to maintain those things. Each state should contribute from it's taxes to maintain the federal government.
This idea that the Federal tax bite should be the largest expense of any American family is ridiculous.
I would have much less of a problem with taxes if they were reversed, and Federal taxes were the smaller amount, and state taxes were the larger. I think that this way the average person would have a lot more control, and there would be a lot less waste.
When our country was founded, the idea of a Federal government was that it should be small, and that the states would have most of the power. Now the states have very little power, and most of the power, and money, resides with the Feds.
We need to change the balance.

Civil liberties and the advent of police state fascism in the US.
I come down on the side of the Constitution.
Beyond that, getting rid of the Electoral College.
We don' need to protect slave states anymore - otherwise we are favoring a few conseratives at the expense of the majority of the voters in this republic.

Liberty - I am for it. I oppose any law that violates the non-agression principle. If an action is between or among concenting adults I have no right to stop that action even if I believe it to be distastefull.

Preservation of the Bill of Rights.

The Republicans mostly interpret them as they were written.

The Democrats take a revisionist approach or ignore them as being anachronistic.

I am a libertarian who has to side with the Republicans on this one.

I would have to agree w/ a few others. IMMIGRATION: DO IT LEGALLY....SEND ILLEGALS HOME..... I do not believe in amnesty! They broke the law, why should they get rewarded?

so many things... but I can boil most of them down to social justice.

If there were real social justice all trade would be fair
food, medicine, clothing, clean water, and shelter would be available to all
people would not languish in prison for crimes they did not commit or for non-violent crimes
education would be available to all
people would have the right to their own land
people would have the right to self govern if they so choose
etc.
