Note: Sister of my neighbor. This woman (Welfare mother) just had a baby in June and is going to have another baby in May. (May 08) She has no job....No future...Not Married...doesn't go to school but has an apartment (Nice one) and a four year old car. Why does the Government give her money and free medical care to have babies and live off the tax payers?

All the people in her apartment complex are on welfare. They have high crime in the area. (Drugs and robberies) she's not a stupid woman. I'm trying to get her to go to college and get out of that rut but she says she likes everything free. Is this right?

These people make you ashamed and get your blood boiling that we are paying for them to lay on their a**. The more children, the more welfare benefits.
Medicaid pays for birth control so there is no excuse.
The ones truly in need, I have no problem at all. But If you cant feed your children why keep having them?
That's the sad part about it. I cant stand the thought of a child going hungry. That's why these benefits are even available from the government. For the children, the mentally and physically handicapped and those who do work but are below the poverty line.
But there will always be the lazy bums who abuse the system
and the poor kids they keep having are their path to work the system.
We definitely need stricter guidelines, but how can you mandate a welfare mother who chooses to keep getting pregnant?

Stop paying for any babies past the first one. I guarantee if we shut off the cash flow, she'll learn how to either keep her legs together or use birth control effectively. Some people think that's cold and cruel, but it's really helping her help herself. With just one child, she can go to school, get a good job, and pull herself (and her child) out of poverty. By throwing more money at her, she stays in poverty, and keeps having more and more babies, which will only put her deeper and deeper in poverty with no chance of ever getting out. How kind is that to children? ETA: stilldebuging is deluded if she thinks these women are producing children who will grow up to be productive members of society! They will end up just like their parents. The girls will be mommies by age 16, and the boys will be in and out of juvie, spawning lots of illegitimate welfare babies in between jail terms.

Bottom line for more of OUR money, why in the HELL doesn't each state do something about this, the KIDS and tax payers are the ones to suffer, most of these types are using OUR money for drugs....the kids are just ways to support that habit.
