Under average conditions, how long does it take for the smell of cigarette smoke to disappear from clothes that are not washed or dry-cleaned? Also, is the smell of cannabis smoke easily distinguishable from that of ordinary cigarettes?

No, cannabis smoke usually just smells like strong cigarette smoke, the give away is usually the bloodshot glazed over, dilated eyes. Cigarette smoke sticks for a couple of days, and if you take a close smell you can still tell unless they're washed or become smelly because of BO.

As an ex smoker of cigarettes and smoker of cannabis, who gave up cigarettes a year ago, the longer you don't smoke for, the more apparent the lingering smells become. You just become less used to them so you smell them more. In my case they never disappeared from clothing, etc., so everything has been washed where it can be, dry cleaned where it had to be, or thrown out because no longer required.

I'm lucky I live in Spain where the norm is tile floors and shutters on windows, so no carpets and curtains to worry about. But if you have them, then you will need them to be cleaned together with your furniture upholstery if any. If you don't, the stale smell will seem to get stronger to you. Sorry to tell you, but that is how it was with me.

Yes, the smell of canabis smoke is easily distinguishable, well at least it is to me, as a canabis smoker.

I no longer mix my cannabis with tobacco, and only smoke my weed outside now. Having fumigated my home, I want to keep it that way. Sorry Jazza and other Rasta friends for letting the side down and being a hypocrite, LOL

But then again, I born in the late 40's. Grew up in the London 60's and cannabis was part of my culture. And still is.

But I gave up the really bad stuff. Tobacco. Hope it's not too late

If clothes are not washed or dry cleaned then the smell of smoke lingers on for ages. The smell of cannabis is very different from ordinary cigarettes with a much more aromatic aroma, i smoke neither but have friends who do or at least have in the past.

Depends on circumstances. If indoors it talks a couple days, outdoors a few hours depending on exposure. That goes for long hair too.

Yes the smell of cannabis is easy to tell from tobacco. This is why a lot of kids who smoke weed smoke cigarettes too. Between the two tobacco is much more addictive.

I find Fabreze takes the smell of cigarette smoke out of clothes.
I wouldn't know about the smell of cannabis though

Just quit both. They both are bad for you and they stink to high heaven. You need to clean the cigarette smell. It will not magically disappear on it's own. Wash the clothes, clean the walls, and Febreeze the furniture. Good luck!

Yes, actually. It's called Eau de Euro available in either Toilette or Parfum. The parfum version is obviously of higher quality but can be obtained as easily as the toilette version. Another difference is that the parfum smells like clove cigarettes, while the toilette smells like cigars. Each scent attracts two different types of women - toilette: strippers, "street pro's," and table dancers; parfum: newage hippies, goths, and MILFs. Eau de Euro can be purchased in European countries only, as the U.S. has not made any tobacco scented perfumes. Try France.

A non-smoker will smell the smoke in someones clothing regardless of whether they have been cleaned or not. A smoker may or may not smell it. I can smell stale smoke in my own clothing by the end of the day....and yes, most people CAN distinguish the difference........
