Name him after his behavior or personality traits. That's what we do. We have a cat named Hopper because she hops like a bunny and hardly runs. Our son named our other cat Commander Cody (CC for short) because it's so daring and takes on dangerous items in the house without any fear.

I have 3 boys I named one Blackie cos he is black,Tabby cos he is a tabby and Spike (pictured) after Spike from Buffy the vampire slayer.

Probably within 24 hours of living with him, you will know him so well that a special name will just "come to you".
