It is best practised by yourself and the solutions arrived at by you. Though it is simple (and at times, complex too), to explain the tricks of solving the sudokus would take a lot of briefing in black and white.
One useful tip here. If you look for one number which should be there in a 9 digit grid, it would not serve, since it would have more than one option as to where to place it. You look for more than 1, i.e., 2 or more such numbers which would fit into a particular grid and that too, in one row. Then, with the given numbers, you would find it easy to guess what the remaining numbers of that grid would be and in what squares.
Thus, by practice, you would come to know a lot of things.
Try and Try. You will be a master.
Wishing you all the best.

You need a combination of tactics. The strategy is to apply them one at a time in an orderly fashion, and then start over.

You can look at a given row, and see what's missing, and see if for any space in that row there is only one possible number that will fit. You can do the same by columns. And you can do the same by squares.

The fourth tactic is to go one number at a time, and see if each row/box has that number, looking for the possible places it can be placed.

What I find works best is to choose a tactic, and run with that until you've done all of the rows/columns/squares/numbers, then use another tactic all the way through.

always start with the box with the most numbers. The way I normally finish is for each box, i go through all the numbers from 1-9 and see if they fit. Hope is helps!
