Dave Ramsey makes Suze Orman look like a rookie. Don't get me wrong she has some great advice. But Ramsey is king of the hill.

I have read both. Dave is best.
If you are looking for a how to plan your money (if you are broke or if have a lot of money)- follow and read Dave. Suze is much more technical. I have a business degree and her book is very hard to get through and it doesn't give a step by step do this and then do this- Dave puts it out in common language and everyone can follow his advice.

Suze also follows the FICO track. She has good info on trusts and wills but I don't like how she is about credit score, credit score, credit score. If you don't use credit you don't need the FICO score.

Dave details out a budget which- everyone, rich, broke or in between needs.

Dave is hands down the best financial person I have read.

Definately Dave Ramsey - my networth is up $50K in 6 months - banks don't make money off of me anymore!

They both have some good and some bad advice.
Everyone is at a different place financially so there is no cookie-cutter one-size fits all right answers to financial questions.
Dave is more aimed at broke people with no financial self-control.
Suzi is more aimed at people with a little money to invest but who don't want to read financial books and self-educate themselves.
Both are good in their own way.

I adore Suze. She makes everything seem simple and she really cares about people that she advises.
