I love Euro-style board games. They tend to be more complex than the usual American board games, but much more fun as well.

Favourites include:
Carcassonne (including all of the expansions, and Carcassonne: The City & Carcassonne: The Castle)

Ticket to Ride (preferrably Europe)

Blue Moon City

Cleopatra and the Society of Architects (lousy title, awesome game)

Through the Desert

One of my favorite games is Factory Fun. Its a great puzzle/logic game, and plays well with 2 players up to 4. Its very addictive and over a hundred plays later I haven't gotten tired of it. Unfortuanetly, its almost out of print and is a bit hard to get here in the US. If you enjoy logic games and see a copy, its a really good one to grab while you can!

For a party game, I like Cranium Hoopla. Its a cooperative game where everyone races against the timer, and combines activities like charades, pictionary style drawing and words games. Its very funny and really gets everyone involved.

My favorite adventure/action game is Arkham Horror. Based (loosley) on the works of HP Lovecraft, the player work together to try to stop the forces of evil. Its got a ton of stuff going on with it, and is my favorite game to play with just my girlfriend and I (it bogs down too much with a big group).

Settlers of Catan is good old classic that every boardgame player should try at least once.

For a newer resource management, I really enjoy Vikings. Its got bidding, figuring out to place tiles to create islands and maxmize your score, and some really tricky decisions to make.

Yes, I do have a hard time narrowing down to just a few favorites!

Settlers of Catan.

I started playing this game a decade ago back in college, and the endless strategy we can use makes the game so very interesting. Now I've taught my nephews to play it and we have great fun all the time!

Monopoly, there was one game in particular that I remember. After the real game was over, we took the money and just shot dice. I came out a big winner.
