I understand rating teams based on schedule, but just because they have not played a good team, that doesn't mean that they are not good, or that they don't deserve to be there. All they have done is taken care of buisness, and their defense has dominated. Purdue did not get past the 40 yard line until late in the 4th quarter, same with Kent state, yeah, i know, i know its just kent state. but just turn your hate down a notch, and give this team a chance.

according to pre-season polls, we were supposed to play at least 3 top 10 teams.

Ohio State plays their schedule. They have no control over if the teams they play are good or not. Ohio State has a great team. Are they the best team in the country? Let's have a playoff system and we'll see! It's the only way!

I think Ohio State is a decent football team. The best...maybe not but the way this year is going who knows.

As for how Ohio State would do in other conferences... Hard to say. At this point it is a good possibilty they would be undefeated, as for most (including OSU) the hard part of the schedule is remaining.

Also, the athletic director makes the schedule not the coah and if the idea was to make OSU schedule easy so they would win I doubt their next six years would include a home and home with USC, U of Miami, and Virginia Tech

I agree - I'm not a Buckeyes fan, but it's driving me crazy having to listen to every LSU fan crying today because their team gave up a million points to a team they should have beaten easily. It's not Ohio State's fault that LSU has been horribly overrated all season.

The Buckeyes have played a soft schedule, but they've been dominant, especially on the defensive side of the ball. I'm still not sure that they're the best team in the country, but they're undefeated, have been dominant, and the voters feel they belong at the top. Now it's time to let things play out, and see how it looks at the end of the year. It's not OSU's fault that they play in the Big Ten.

I find it absolutely hilarious that all these people are saying OSU will lose to Michigan. When exactly was the last time that happened? I am pretty sure Lloyd Carr has yet to accomplish that feat. Chad Henne is the biggest joke of a QB I have ever seen and he looks like Lloyd Christmas from Dumb and Dumber. The Bucks will finish the season undefeated and enter the National Championship game, only to CRUSH whatever crappy SEC team wants to bring it on.

im not a buckeye fan but im objective. they may have played a less than awesome schedule but dont blame the buckeyes, blame the lack of talent in the Big 10. OSU got over some easy teams to start the season like everyone does, its just that the Big 10 has some really weak teams this year. OSU is unbeaten, they deserve to be number 1. i still hope michigan kills them next month. Go Blue!!

they're not a bad team, but they do have the easiest road to go undefeated.
it will be just like last year if they get to the national championship game, them getting dominated by an SEC team for 4 quarters.
GEAUX TIGERS!!!
even if they do beat penn st. and michigan they will be questioned. both of those teams are below-average this year.
haven't played a schedule like USC? I guess you're right because USC has had a much easier schedule up to this point. losing to Stanford and barely getting by Arizona and Wash. St.
one quality win which was against Nebraska who is severely overrated

OSU is not a bad team. However, you would want your team tested before they entered the BCS championship game. OSU could likely go to the championship game without having played a Top 20 team. Where are you Boise St. LOL!

So far they haven't beat a good team, it was just like the Dallas Cowboys, they haven't face a good team all year and was 5-0 until they met Mr. Brady, and now we know where they stand in the NFL. Ohio State will lose in Michigan and not win the Big Ten

Kansas University has has the same strength schedule and is undefeated... yet they arent even close to Ohio in the polls... This looks like the polls are a popularity contest. A playoff system is in order. This is going to be the most dramatic football season ending ever.

Hey, they beat every team they were supposed to so far. Unlike USC, CAL, OK, TX, FLA, and MICH, plus many others. Probably not the best team, but blame the other top ranked teams for losing to bad teams.
