i answered the exact question b4, but i'll get it for u..just wait a sec..ill look for it
here we go:
co2 is a greenhouse gas, so it acts as a greenhouse, meaning: it allows sun's rays to enter the earth and warm the planet, but prevents their escape, so they're reflected back to earth..so the earth becomes warmer and ice in the north will melt, so flooding will occur and thus cities and even countries on the coasts will drown and become non-existent
Also, this would increase the 0.04% composition that co2 makes of the atmosphere and so there will be less oxygen for us to breath in and use for respiration and also, animals living in seas, rivers and oceans die due to lack of dissolved oxygen which they also need to survive
if animals start dying off, food chains and thus food webs will become disrupted and thus biodiversity will decrease(but that's if they increase tremendously)
CO2 is one of the gasses that is a contributer to the green house effect. Nobody really knows what the true effects of it are because it is a big equation to try to consider the whole of Earth ecology, but it is said to steadily raise earths temperature over time by creating a layer of gass in the atmosphere that prevents the escape of heat [energy, electromagnetic force, carrier particle photon (just not enough energy to be visible)]. As temperatures rise, the polar icecaps will melt. The polar ice is essentially frozen freshwater containing very low levels of salt. When it mixes with ocean water it will lower the salinity (salt levels) of the oceans which in combination with temperature change causes the currents to start failing. If the currents fail then weather will become spuradic for a time and then level off in an iceage like state. But anyway, thats kind of how the theory goes.
If there is more CO2, there is less O2. We breathe O2. Hopefully if there is too much CO2, the green things will love it and bloom and create more O2.
nd thts all you need to know

Carbon Dioxide is one of the greenhouse gases. Like a greenhouse, when light from the sun reaches Earth, these gases help trap some of that heat to keep the planet livable. If it were not for the greenhouse gases the Earth would be too cold to sustain life. But ever since Industrial Revolution, people started burning coal, wood and oil at much higher rates. Burning these fuels increased the amount of greenhouses gases, including carbon dioxide. The more of the greenhouse gases there are in the atmosphere, the hotter the planet gets, which is global warming. At least 30 major science institutes around the world have verified the planet has gotten warmer in the past 50 years, and that prior to the Industrial Age, human's impact on the amount of carbon dioxide was minimal. Now, are humans responsible for all the global warming? Maybe not. But arguing whether global warming is true or not is like saying a man in the middle of the sun pedals a bike to make the sun work. Arguing who caused it is pointless. It would be like finding out an asteroid is headed for Earth, and then arguing over whether a NASA space probe knocked it toward our planet rather than working on the problem. Global warming is real. We can do things to fix it. If you are 25 or over, you probably won't see the full effects. But if you are younger, the living environment on Earth will be destroyed in your lifetime if nothing is done.

Democrats are full of hot CO2, and too many of them blabbing about a topic they have very little knowledge about causes the earths atmosphere to fill up with unnecessary and unwanted hot air. However, Democrats are sheep-like and lemming-like animals and tend to follow what the herd is doing. So the rest of us must endure their rantings until real scientists with hard scientific data quench the hot gases spewing from their gullets.
With the national news being as unscientific as they have always been (No reporter on any news channel has a college degree in engineering or science) the general public is inundated with quasi-scientific reports written by non-scientists about topics in which they have no background. So the HOT CO2 continues to pollute our environment.

to put it simply, the co2 acts as a blanket wrapped around the earth holding the warmth in, but allowing more heat rays from the sun to enter and this results in a warming of the earth.

In order to receive oxygen, we muct give off co2. It's actually a good effect to the environment; think of it as an exchange of a natural resourse.

Hope that answered your question!!

Do they have books in your village? CO2 is carbon dioxide. It increases the greenhouse effect.

There's been enough published on this over the last 25 years for you to do your own research. You're not "stumped," you're just lazy.
