weather or not keys can be removed from a forklift?
Not worried someone will take it without authorization. MY husbands company is allowing certain people to remove the keys so that others cant use "THERE" forklift. They all share them but some people dont like to share. Someone thought there was a regulation that all operational trucks had to have keys

I will attach the OSHA reg for power trucks. Check your state and city regs also --- the state and local may not prempt federal but then can be more restrictive.

Look thru this website......its too long for just the simple answer However, if the company doesn't require the removal of the key for simple safety with a key log.to know whom drove it last.....they are plain and simple STUPID......
