Washington, DC is only a district with one city. It is way too small to be a state. Even Rhode Island is bigger than Washington, DC.

A very long shot. Puerto Rico, the Virgin islands, DC, but don't hold your breath.

I believe Washington, DC and Puerto Rico will be candidates for our 51st and 52nd states.

Maybe....

Puerto Rico has a vote every few years. They get to vote NO, or YES or Maybe yes maybe no but NOT NOW.

Each answer usually gets about 33%.

I think Puerto Rico is the only real candidate.

Possibly-- but we will probably lose a couple first.. Hawaii and California will probably form independent countries eventually...
