Thought you were going to say alone and hard...at work. I just clip on my big brown hearing aid...the kind that's bigger that Mickey Mouse's ears and can be seen by the whole audience so I can hear when the UPS man rings my door bell.

It doesn't really matter if you are alone because there is no one for you to hear and you can put headphones on to listen to music and turn the volume up on th eTelly !

Turn the radio up so loud it annoys the neighbours and they come knocking to tell you off, you tell them your hard of hearing they invite you for tea and there you are, new friends and not alone.

Well at first I like to go into a nice dark room with some conditioner or gel...yeahhh....then I like to put that stuff in my hair so the hair on my sides can stick up and I hear clearly.

I am severly hearing impaired and I watch t.v. with the closed caption on and it is very quiet here.
