the anti-gay, pro-christian hate mongering? I mean, it's not like any of us haven't ever the whole "Sodom and Gomorrah" story, and that being gay is a ''sin'' rant, either.

I am personally getting tired of these people that feel like it's their ''mission from God'' to change us all. We say time and time and time and time and time again that we CAN'T change how we were created. Any intelligent person would put 2 and 2 together and leave it alone. I mean, if we always come back with something to combat them and never agree, why not just consider us lost causes and let us live our lives. If we go to Hell, then so be it!! What difference does it make to any of them, anyway?

And those that think it's funny just to attack us with ancient stories...grow up. Most of you don't even believe it, anyway.

Just one day, it would be nice to not have religion shoved down our throats. Don't we come here to help each other? When will people focus on real problems? I wish they would.

Officer Uggh - I don't hate Christians. I am one. I'm talking about the ones that come here everyday and spout the same things over and over. People are allowed to feel the way they do. I take no issue with that.

Tara - I still love you guys...you know that, right?!?

No, we can't have a day without somebody coming on here and shoving their beliefs down our throats. There are too many intolerant, hateful, hipocritical Christians out there for it to be possible...it's sad to say, I know, but it's true. Maybe one day in the future we will, maybe after people finally wake up--already people are starting to change their beliefs. Just look at the popularity of the book "The Secret" and tell me we're not headed for some kind of change in our way of thinking...I just think it depends on how soon it comes. No matter how many Christians come on here, I'll never lose faith that one day we'll all be treated as equals--even if I won't live to see that day.

That kind of global shift in conciousness is still years away--people are still picketing for the wrong things. We have people fighting tooth and nail against abortion and gay marriage, but don't we have bigger issues out there? Why aren't Christians as passionate about the oil and healthcare companies ripping us off or the war in the middle east? After all, greed is one of the seven DEADLY sins, and because of that greed, health insurers allow people to die of curable disease. Conservative Christians will support the war in the middle east even though the Bible will tell us directly that "Thou shalt not kill," but we know very well that some Christians pick and choose what to believe and when to believe it depending on its convenience at the time, twisting logic to justify their stance.

Sins such as greed, wrath, and envy have made people suffer all over the world. Such sins have caused the deaths of millions and it continues to do so, and the intolerance each religions has for certain groups only adds to the rising death toll. People have only BEEN killed because of the alleged "sin" of homosexuality, and the only thing we've fought over is equality and justice.

People seriously need to wake up and realize what's ACTUALLY important before we all annihilate ourselves.

You have spoken a lot of truth, Oberon. But I seriously doubt that the day you are hoping for will ever happen. As long as people go into a church or other place of worship, listen to the hate being espoused by that person who is supposed to be preaching love and acceptance and not questioning it but blindly following, then it is out of the question. So on they go, placing their hard earned money into the collection plate so that these so-called men of god can live in luxury while their minds are immunized against accepting common sense.

Keep up the good work and let's do everything that we can to promote education and deliverance from the evils of religion.

That would be nice, but it'll never happen. How can you be expected to not have "religion" shoved down our throats when this entire World was founded on some sort of faith? No matter what country or culture you look at, there is some type of deity who created it all. Anyway, there are some cool Gods and Goddesses in Greece who were Gay or Lesbian. Some "cults" even were made up of entirely gay men or lesbian women. So stop the fights, take back your power!

The haters don't want to lose their power and their source of vast income. The trolls who come here are just brain dead fools who have fallen for the hate rants of preachers and those same fools give those preachers huge amounts of money. We do need to stick together and to help each other. We need to continue to build our power base, and since we are about love, not hate, I think we have a winning way of life.
The haters have our govt right now, but around the world more civilized countries have their governments liberated from hate. Ours will follow most likely because of economics. It is simple. GLBTSA people make a real contribution to civilization, and the haters are like leaches on civilization. So sooner or later, people will have to focus on the real problems that are stacking up pretty high right now, and bury the leaches, but that day is not today here at Y/a.
After all, as their crap becomes less and less socially acceptable, they are forced to come here where Y allows them to log in anonymously so they can snipe us with their hate while hiding behind their lies. Have you noticed that it is getting more and more difficult for them to do this in public? It shows that only the cowardly and ignorant still believe the bible hate rants, and that only religious scoundrels remain to try to profit from the hate collection plate .

Religious people are supposed to ave good morals. Christians are supposed to love everyone. And nowdays sex and sexuality should be discussable with whoever we please. Haven't we evolved enough to realise that we could all be more mature and not beleive we are right and everyone else is wrong. I think if religious people are pickin on you, they're hypocrites, and they're obviously not in tune with the world.

There are many animals that are also gay, bi etc... we should love one another not try to change people to be the same. (and if God's creations are perfect, why are gay's abominations???) I personally i am staright in a long term relationship, I'm not anti-Christian or anything, I just hate extremeinsm; I hope you can cope with tem and obviously you know your veiws clearly so ----- to Hell with them.

It would be nice but alas unlikely. See, when those uber christians get in your face and try to shove what they believe down your throat, they only do so because of their own insecurities with the way they live their own lives. And as for the ones useing the bible as a means to decry our sexuality... I take them at face value. What they drudge up simply comes from interpretation and they don't bother to actually try and read between the lines.

for bible goodness in relation to homosexuality, check this out. It blew me away and opened my eyes a bit. Granted, this may come down to interpretation... but this is an educated interpretation, not a "because it's the bible" variation. It is long... but read it when you get the chance... you will not be didapointed.

After the weekend I have had I could use a nice peaceful day. A funny day would be even better, but I won't push my luck. Wish they could start a forum that is only us that want to chat it up friendly like. No mean, hateful, bashing or converting going on. Think I'll sit back in my chair and just pretend that I live there.

I agree with you . . im straight and i believe gay people should not be punished or bullied into being " some people's stereotype of normal" give them a break and let them live their lives the way they want! It should be no1's business and if straight people are allowed to have a PRIVATE personal life then why are gay people not allowed to? . . .why are they judged on their private sexual relationships their whole lives? 1 rule for some and a different for others its not fair! we are all equal in this world so lets treat each other as equals!!!

It's as tiresome as seeing the "9/11 was an inside job" conspiracy theorists posting their drivel over and over again in the Politics section.

On the other hand, about 2 and 1/2 years ago I popped in to visit the "Message Boards" for fans of the TV show "Queer As Folk" and I spent about 2/3s of my time in there arguing about interpreting the Constitution and whether or not it is right for the Supreme Court to rule that gay people have "equal rights" guaranteed by the Constitution. It turned out that most people on that site just ignored me. Only a few people tried to actually debate with me about it. I'm sure that all of the rest got tired of seeing me talk about it and wished that I would just shut up about that and talk only about the show.
