I mean , so many people on Yahoo!Answers say they hate their country and they are ashamed but what about Land of the Free ?? Home of the Brave ???? Do we need to take all this crap from those racist people and from the lefties that betray their country every day ??? If you were to say you were proud to be American everyone would say"Shh don't be racist !" and i think that is nothing crap !! We should be proud of our country !!!!!

OMG, you how proud I am! This is the best country ever, I have so much freedom and I'm proud of most of the people who run it. I don't get why people complain, if they went to another country and did what they do, they'd be punished severely. If you hate the US so much, why don't you move?!!!

sorry, America is not a particulary free country,you should be proud it of anyway, but it really isn't.
for example, no country in Europe would ever allow...
corporal punishment in public schools (happens in parts of US)
the death penalty
curfews for teenagers (clear breach of human rights)
property seizure laws
random drug testing at work
mandatory minimum sentances
and they do not have:
the war on (even soft) drugs
oppressive bible-belt morality
killjoy age of limit of 21 for drinking
rude, mechanical police officers
I'm not anti-American at all - I have a lot of respect for America and Americans and you *should* be proud of your country, everyone should - BUT you should also be aware of the facts.
