My best friend passed away and I was on my own speaking to him. Then I felt like someone had thiere arm around my shoulders and it was really strange.
I've often wondered if it was him.

sorry about your friend...in my experience id say it was him comforting you.. people will tell you when they die, thats it...but it is so untrue..i cannt really say what happens to us when we die but i do know the connection doesnt stop there...i notice when we keep the communication going between us and someone close who has passed over, you,ll get signs from them from time to time..and never pass it off as coincidences....

My sympathies on the lost of your friend.
No one, skeptics, believers, scientist, clergy, etc. can give you a good answer to this question. No one was there to share in or witness your experience. In the end it was your experience and you get to choose (believe) the explanation that makes your life better.

I had a dream last night and I have no proof or evidence that the dream happened and no way of providing evidence even that I do dream but this does not mean that dreams and mine in particular did not happen. Further, I choose to live my life believing that dreams are real (happen) and I do dream.

All I can tell you is that things like this have happened to me too...and ,like you, I don't know who or what it was..I just know they happened. I'm So Sorry that you don't have your friend's physical presence with you anymore. There's a verse on a card I saw one time and I always liked it for times like this. It says,"May the One who comforts most be with you at this time." I think you were being comforted. It's said that the Holy Spirit is the Comforter.

Everyone calls it "lost","passed away"or even"dead"!But are we really?I call my physical body my car.The reason being, know matter how much we love it or try to keep it in perfect running condition;theres always that ultimate reality it will eventually stop working.I do not believe that we quit being because we change cars.....my guardian angles, spirit guides and family an friends who have changed into a newer model opportunity are still with us.They have comforted me through many trials in my life, and I am greatfull to have them near. Some are just in visitation an others are around us always. If your friend felt that his rebirth caused you dispare, and he heard your words....he was letting you know he was alright. This is a cynical world we live in,and the powers that be always know when an how to let us know things will be okay.Bless your friend and there family who allowed you into both lives and for having such a good friend always. Blessed be!

I'm very sorry to hear about your friend passing over.
I can tell you without hesitation that what you experienced is known as clairsentience (clear feeling).
Regardless of what science says clairsentience is real.

Yes,it could have been, but I believe it also could have been your spiritual guide or guardian angel comforting you.It depends on your beliefs we all call them different things ,but they are really the same.Mine has comforted me and has helped me though some difficult and dangerous times.

(Many blessings)

By thinking of him, missing him and talking to him you created an ideal situation for imagining your friend being with you, so it's no surprise you felt his presence. However, there is no reason to believe this was anything more than wishful thinking.

Your friend is still with you in your memories. Relish that fact.

No, I'm sure it was just your memories and feelings for him/her, nothing more. When people pass away, they live on in our memories but there is no scientific evidence that we can depend on to support the idea that the deceased can communicate with the living in any way.
