My Halloween costume requires a full face paint. I want it to last most of the night without melting off. Anyone have any tips?

you should buy professional clown paint, not the cheap halloween stuff last year i got real clown makeup and it stayed on for about 7 hours which is more than i would have gotten out of the cheap stuff.
finish it with powder to set it.

Make-up is oily and when you sweat or produce natural oils, the make-up gets runny and looks cheesy. What you want to do is take an old sock or even a sock you don't mind getting dirty and as strange as this sounds, fill the "foot" part with baby powder. Squeeze the baby powder sock until it seeps through the fabric and gently pat it on your face. This combines with the oily make-up and makes it stick because the powder is made to eliminate oil and water.

Just be sure to use a good moisturizer when you take all that make-up off! Make-up can dry out your skin, causing your natural oil glands to produce more oil which can cause acne!

I use powder under my face makeup, it makes it stay on. Always use a good moisturizer afterwords.

put powder overtop. i was in drama for years and we did that before every performance so our make up would last under those hot lights.
