I LOVE Sirius and Snape! I have a thing for long black haired guys....(think Captain Jack Sparrow and Aragorn from Lord of the Rings!! *sighs*)

I agree - for five books I liked James Potter cuz well he's Harry's dad! But by book seven I was pretty mad at him.

Professor Severus "Snivellus" Snape. Having read all the books, I can already SEE how Alan Rickman will play the character. Snape is truly the HERO of the whole story.

Snape's every word and phrase is almost a classic.

Neville Longbottom, for the same reasons as actormyk. Neville is the ordinary guy who gets to be a hero in the end, which I think makes him easier to identify with than Harry.

Snape is a close second because he's such an intriguing character, and a tragic hero to boot.

i'm torn because it started off being snape, who was always the most interesting character, until sirius came along. even now its really hard for me to choose between the two but i think i'd say snape as he has the most interesting character development and storylines, more so i think than harry potter himself

Neville Longbottom, because of the "journey" that his character has traveled from bumbling schoolboy to effective fighter at the Ministry to resistance leader by Book 7.

Remus Lupin, he's so sweet and encouraging. After the whole transformations thing he's been through he has it all together really good.

Sirius Black, I love how he rebelled against his prejudiced family. He was a great friend and never gave up.

Tonks! It would be like having 10 different girlfriends (blonde, readhead, skinny, thick), all with the same great personality.

I have to say I love Hagrid! He is just so amusing, it seems he can never do anything right and he has a fantastic heart! Grawp is really cool too, "Hermy!"
