Are you talking about the classes or the ability for either OS to network?
As far as the responses I've seen, I agree with them . . . to a point. If you're looking to be your everyday hum-drum network administrator - go ahead and learn only MS. But if you plan on working on server farms and really want to know the ins and outs of networking, learn UNIX as well.

Ultimately you will need a JOB. There are a lot more Microsoft machines out there so there are more jobs for people capable of servicing Microsoft machines.

I beleive you can conclude from there.

Microsoft AND Novell. Stick with the most used programs and you can't go wrong.

I would suggest compTIA Network+ and security+ as they cover linux, windows and apple
