Indeed one takes refuge in silence at times, not only in Philosophy, but also in situations Philosophised as well.

Mukam karoti Vacalam, you must have heard of it?

But this Philosophical silence is not like that silence of a grave yard, it is rather the silence of a volcano, which will burst out into volumes when it is needed............

When I suffer, meaning sad, tormented, having problems, or when it seems all is lost--yes, silence is my refuge. For only in silence can you contemplate: what went wrong when I did my best in a given situation? When you're hurt, don't you cry out for company? In silence, you cry out to God. It's an instinctive cry for help from an unknown entity. Even animals in pain would do that. We can be very much alone in silence, only we're not that alone, were we?

I used to dwell in solitude wherein the state of silence becomes a place of recharging my inner strength. Wisdom gained from experience is practically used to solve human sufferings and this is possible only if we take time to listen during our stillness and temporarily excuse ourselves in a noisy world.
