I recently bought a navy blue suit, and have a great pair of black shoes. I was going to wear them with the suit, but a friend (who calls herself a fashion expert) insists this is a big fashion don't.
Who is right?
We agreed if she was declared the winner, she'd get a free dinner. If I win, she buys me yet another pair of shoes.

Wearing black shoes with a navy suit is okay but it's not very interesting to look at. One of the major rules of fashion is to wear neutrals with brighter more interesting colors and patterns. So, if you are wearing all navy (a neutral) with the suit it would be best to wear a brightly colored shoe preferably with a print. Have fun with colors and prints. Definitely DON'T wear navy shoes !!! You'll look like you're wearing blue footy pajamas!

I thought the rule was that your shoes HAVE to match your handbag ...or was it your socks should match the colour of your aunt's dog ...so as long as your aunty has a red polka dot pup and your handbag is black, all's right with the world
Personally I think you should paint blue stripes on the shoes, declare a truce, and wear her dinner while she eats your shoes ...it's only fair
