Elective or planned cesaereans are usually done after 38 weeks, if everything is going well and the baby is growing as it should.

You don't explain why you want to go to a different hospital. Are you having problems with your current provider, or are you going to be out of town in your 9th month?

Most likely the new hospital will do a repeat c-section, only because it is easier on your body and your unborn child. The new hospital will get all of your records from your other hospital and care for you accordingly. It is up to your doctor when your c-section will be done. Some doctors try to work with you as much as they can and let you choose the date. I got to choose my sons date but not my doctors (both were born at different hospitals) But good luck, and congrats on the little one! :)

If you are having a planned c-section, your doctor should be telling you when they would like to schedule you. Usually they do it around 38-39 weeks. Not sure what a different hospital has to do with it unless you have a different doctor delivering you. Either way, it's up to the doc, and the OR schedule at the hospital.
