i have been on both sides and my view is that if people who act like and can not allow others to thinks for themselves and push others to do what they think is best are the ones in the wrong .! i had serverd over seas and seen stuff that still bothers me and i have seen stuff here that bothers me even more and all i can say is funding a war and not looking after our own people here at home is rediculous and that we should sweep off our own door step first before sweeping off somebody elses ....... our own citizens born bred bled here should be taken care of first . i know like i said i have been there and done that now a grandfather of 4 beautiful grandchildren and i fought for what i did at the time believe was right was wrong . when us goverment funded saddam hussien years ago and help him rise to power then decide to take him out was wrong but they think they know better because they have the money next time they want to pick a fight let the people cast the vote not all these people with all the money do it because the ones with the money do not have all the answers the best answers sometimes comes from the average joe or jill who works minimum wage and knows better john

They didn't. They threatened to stop funding the foolishness in Iraq until a clear exit strategy and timeline to bring the soldiers home was adopted by this adminstration.

Immediately all you heard on Fox Noise was how "This Dem Congress HATES the Troops and wants us to lose in the War on Terror, they support terrorism, blah blah blah.

Stopping the funding puts soldiers' lives at risk (of course, not as much at risk as their presence in Iraq to begin with), so I guess my question to YOU is,

"Why do you want the troops to be killed in Iraq? Do you support terrorism? Do you hate our US troops?"

But the big question HAS been and always SHALL be,

"Where is Osama bin Laden and why is the admitted murderer of almost 3,000 US citizens not being hunted to the ends of the Earth by this Administration?"

The Dems are not only funding the war, they are loading the funding bills with pork.

It's what happens when Americans vote on a campaign of anti- without requiring the Dems to put a clear plan in place.

You cannot defund a war when the country you are in will fall into complete chaos if you leave.. take off your Republican vs. Democrat glasses...we are in a real clusetrf*ck in Iraq and are not going to able to solve it by cutting off funding to the troops. That will just result in an even bigger mess.

Democrat or Republican most of our congressmen and women are "good men". A wise man once said "evil flourishes when good men do nothing". I would suspect that the congressmen have figured out that IRAQ would have been settled down much much sooner had it not been for the islamofascit regime of IRAN. I think our congressmen understand that to leave or do nothing in IRAQ will ultimately allow IRAN to spread.

liteson stole a line that was taught to me in the Navy long time ago. However I disagree that funding the war is the same as supporting it.

And if you're not part of the solution, then you're part of the precipitate. (Ba-dump-BUM!)

But seriously, does that mean you're guilty of supporting the war because you pay taxes?

By now I hope you realize that politicians on both sides of the aisle have their interests ahead of yours. Vote accordingly.

When yo don't have enough of a majority to get anything done other than bicker with the obstructionist, chickenhawk GOP,what else are you going to do?

Dubya would just borrow another trillion from the commie Chinese anyway.

Because Pelosi said impeachment was off the table, not lying.

Relax, the democrats don't want to fund the war, but they had to for political reasons. They'll just secretly throw monkey wrenches into the system by pissing off allies.
