Before the trans-Atlantic slave trade, slavery operated on a smaller scale - often as punishment, war captives, to fulfill debts, etc. Native Ams enslaved other NAs, Africans enslaved Africans, Arabs enslaved Arabs, Europeans enslaved Europeans... and in areas of cultural overlap, there would be cross-ethnic slavery, too. Slavery was generally a very limited, conditional thing, and was not really ethnic-based or skin-color-based.
But the trans-Atlantic slave trade created a totally different volume of scale; arbitrarily plucking people across the world, destroying families and culture, killing millions by disease and inhumane conditions, and entrenching slavery in ethnic status and making slavery hereditary.
Some southeastern Native Americans, who had long traditions of social stratification/local slavery already, adapted to this new slavery to conform with the times and adapt, to be seen as equals with the new power brokers, and to master the new rules of economy. But the white powers were not looking for equals and peers; they wanted the land more than they wanted the people, and those Native Ams were evicted/killed instead.
ADDED IN RESPONSE TO THE ADDITIONAL COMMENT: In general, Native Americans did show many positive atrributes, but there were litterally thousands of cultures, and values varied. There were Nations that harbored and accepted blacks and whites who fled/gave up on white-dominated society as well. The vast majority of aboriginal cultures did not try to emulate the new racial form of slavery; just several Southeastern nations with long-established social stratification even before Contact.

slavery for over 200 years makes a difference especially
if discrimination continues several hundred years after
the slavery is over. and as for the answer to that question
whenever your necks in the mouse trap everyone will take
advantage of you. Over the years blacks have made
themselves vulnerable to others due to trusting those
unworthy of their trust. And as for the most hated group in
the world I would say it would be whites historically. You
can trace their events from the Vikings to Christopher
Columbus, Cortez, The British-South Africa-Jamaica, US
history, Cortez -Aztecs, Phillipines etc and look at today,
most other countries hate Britain and white America
