He hasn't been the same in his performance and his attitude. Seems kind of depressed or something to me. Does anyone know why?

Dude, it isn't his fault.
It's very tough for a medium pace bowler to get wickets on 'FLAT' pakistani pitches.

PCB should do something about it

Hello Asif fan, I am certain that his performance which seems to be poor by his standards is due to the pitches to some extent. Give a bowler a batting paradise, and he will be left with terrible bowling figures. Asif is more of a swing bowler rather than tear away pace. Asif has the ability to swing the ball both the ways, and the nip he gets of the wicket also makes him a dangerous bowler.

Sub continental wickets are too much of a tester for a fast bowler. Bowling in these kind of wickets makes a bowler lose confidence early. You lose confidence with a batting beauty, then every bowler will look ordinary. He pitches up to the batsman on a driving length. On subcontinents, no swing, then it is like almost a half volley for the batsman to play on the raise.

Asif can bounce back. Just watch out of his early wickets in the next match. He needs to adjust his length a little and get a touch shorter.

To all the answerers above Asif has taken many wickets on same Pakistani pitches. I believe that incident with Shoaib has something to do with his performance because he was not very successful in South Africa either. Now that issue is over let's see what he delivers in ODI's against SA.
