I think not. Only time I wear them myself is if I have to dress up and wear leather shoes like to a wedding or funeral.
Wear them then because the shoes tend to rub your feet other wise. Besides that I just can think of any reason to wear them unless there is 3 + feet of snow and the help keep snow away from your feet.

I've never viewed them as evil before... but no. They ARE useful.
Warm feet, dry feet, protection against abraisive footwear, etc.
However, I don't always wear them, I live a great deal of my life barefoot. When not barefoot, I wear thongs mostly... flat, leather, highheeled, rubber, whatever; but thongs. If I actually wear shoes, I'm usually wearing nylons, too.
In the winter, I wear moccasins. with or without socks. Next Q..?

I love bare feet and can't wait to take my sock and shoes off when i get home....and may wear slippers when cool at home...but never ever socks to bed.

Yes my poor feet cant breath when they have socks on them. If you wear them to bed you WILL have nightmares

only in the winter when the snow is flying. i hate them, but need them in the winter to keep the tootsies warmer.
