I have for about a month and a half purposely listened to my local talk radio station to educate myself on this phenomenon of conservative talk radio
Unbelievable...to sum it up in one word! I have never heard such ranting and raving! And its all of them!
And how does someone saying "on loan from GOD" (Rush Limbaugh) not offend anyone?
And on one particular point, Rush Limbaugh has been defending his comments about the "Soldiers" he made like his life depends on it, when in fact he did insult many American soldiers with his comment, (....real soldiers want to be in Iraq!) And the fact is that many do not want to be there or go back! Are these not real soldiers Rush? Simply because as much as they would want to have the backs of their friends and fellow soldiers in the field of combat, they do not support the political justification of this war, they are not real soldiers?
Just how brainwashed are the Americans who support and buy into this kind constant propaganda?

Rush is extreme. That's why he's on the air.
If Rush had any real influence on the voting populace as a whole, the Republicans would still control the House and Senate, the Iraq war would be very popular, and there'd probably be widespread support for an invasion into Iran. There is none of these.
The only people who listen to Rush, are those who already agree with him. It makes them feel good to know that the horrible, horrible things that they think, are actually being said aloud on the air by someone else. So then it makes it okay. No one actually listens to Rush to learn stuff. Just to reassure themselves that those things that they're thinking are right.
Most people with a brain know Rush to be more of an entertainer and odd character, rather than anyone to be taken seriously. Don't take him seriously. He's a joke.

The "on loan from God" phrase is a joke. It's sad you have neither a sense of humor nor the intelligence to understand why Rush is the most popular radio personality in history.
His popularity is greater than any Democrat in the Senate because he dares to tell the truth about what they say.
Now we have 41 Democrat Senators who have slandered a private citizen and have propagated a lie about him. They should all be impeached for breaking their vows to uphold the constitution and for their violation of free speech laws.
We can excuse your ignorance. You apparently didn't even realize that they slandered him and tried to lie to the public about what he said. If you really listened to what he said you'd agree with Rush because he supports the troops, unlike the Democrats in the senate who hate our military as much as they hate our freedoms. Hater mongers like Kerry, Schumer, Biden, Byrd, Feinstein, Leahy, Levin, Durbin, Reid, Pelosi, Kennedy, Murtha, Boxer, Clinton, Obama etc etc.
It's a shame they have so brainwashed you that you can't even see the truth when it's placed right before you eyes.
I believe in your freedom to be in lock-step with these socialist Democrats, but it's sad you don't know the truth of the matter. Maybe you will become educated one day.
I hope that most people would realize that not all Americans are as uninformed and blatantly ignorant as you appear to be. In reality most Americans I know are much more informed and show much higher intelligence, and they all support our troops, and reject those who smear private citizens who support the troops.

I am a nonpolitical person. I try to use common sense and weigh both sides of an issue before making a decision. Rush Limbaugh, to me, is so biased and his opinions are all so unbalanced. If you don't believe like he does, he feels you are an idiot. Anybody that thinks they are right 100 % of the time is a fool himself.

Rush Limbaugh is a pompous *** and totally out of touch with reality. And he has plenty of company with him. People like Ann Coulter for example.
They are only interested in advancing their agenda and not the truth or the nation in general.
In my humble opinion they are all a strong argument for birth control.
Cheers.

His audience is made up of people who are uneducated or undereducated. They are fearful and ignorant (and he plays to them).
He is simply an entertainer - like a "shock-jock" who appeals to his ignorant audience, says what they want to hear and laughs all the way to the bank.
The others are just like him....entertainers who get paid very well.

there are plenty who are, alas... and they're running the show.
there are plenty who are not, of course. but we are ununified, and have no leadership, no voice. Corporate interests get presented instead of ours, as a sort of "mock-opposition."
