I am trying to find out which female country singer has a song that talks about fallen angels. I am desperate to find this out for a friend of mine who's baby niece passed away over the weekend and the baby's mom wants this song played at the memorial service.

♥ First off, I'm soooooooo sorry to hear about your friends neice!! That is something that is so horrible to go through... a parents worst nightmare. I really wish I knew which song you are talking about but I'm not sure. Here are some other songs that maybe you can suggest...

Artist: Tammy Cochran
Title: Angels in Waiting

We camped out on the living room floor
In our old sleeping bags, by a make-believe fire.
In a tent made of covers, we talked for hours
My two brothers and me.
Keeping the faith; racing with destiny.

They were angels in waiting.
Waiting for wings to fly from this world,
Away from their pain
Treasuring time, til time came to leave,
Leaving behind sweet memories.
Angels in waiting; angels in waiting for wings.

They always knew they’d never grow old.
Sometimes the body is weaker than the soul.
In their darkest hour, I made a promise
I will always keep:
I’ll give them life; I’ll let them live through me.

They were angels in waiting.
Waiting for wings to fly from this world,
Away from their pain
Treasuring time, til time came to leave,
Leaving behind sweet memories.
Angels in waiting; angels in waiting for wings.
Angels in waiting; angels in waiting for me.

They were angels in waiting.
Waiting for wings to fly from this world,
Away from their pain
Treasuring time, til time came to leave,
Leaving behind sweet memories.
Angels in waiting; angels in waiting for wings.
Angels in waiting; angels in waiting for me.

**We used this song for my aunt whom passed away.

Title: Who You'd Be Today

Sunny days seem to hurt the most
Wear the pain like a heavy coat
I feel you everywhere I go
See your smile, I see your face
I hear you laughing in the rain
Still can't believe your gone

(Chorus:)
It ain't fair you died to young
Like a story that had just begun
But death tore the pages all away
God knows how I miss you
All the hell that I've been through
Just knowing, no one could take your place
Sometimes I wonder, who you'd be today

Would you see the world
Would you chase your dreams
Settle down with a family
I wonder what would you name your babies
Someday's the sky's so blue
I feel like I can talk to you
And I know it might sound crazy

(Chorus)

Today [3x]
Today [3x]

Sunny days seem to hurt the most
I wear the pain like a heavy coat
The only thing that gives me hope
Is I know, I'll see you again someday

Someday, someday

**This song we played at my cousins funeral and all his vigils. It just describes how we feels and seems like the perfect song.

Good Luck to you, your friend and her family! RIP to her baby neice.

I found this song by Aerosmith. I don't know if any female country singers have covered it, but this might help you get your search started. P.S. Those sarcastic answers were not very nice.

Fallen Angels Lyrics (Aerosmith)

Aerosmith - Fallen Angels Lyrics

There's a candle burning in the world tonight
For another child who vanished out of sight
And a heart is broken, another prayer in vain
There's a million tears that fill a sea of pain

Sometimes I stare out my window
My thoughts all drift into space
Sometimes I wonder if there's a better place

(Tell me)
Where do fallen angels go
I just don't know
Where do fallen angels go
They keep falling

Now the times is frightening
Can't ignore the facts
There's so many people
Just slippin' through the cracks

So many ashes are scattered
So many rivers run dry
Sometimes your Heaven is Hell and you don't know why

(So listen)
Where do fallen angels go
I just don't know
Where do fallen angels go
They keep falling, falling, falling...

Can you hear me
Can you hear me
Somewhere out there there's a shining light
And I got to be with you tonight

And with all we're nowhere
We still pay the price
Yeah the Devil seems to get his way
In downtown paradise

Where do fallen angels go
I just don't know
Where do fallen angels go
They keep falling, falling, falling...

Where do fallen angels go, tell me
I just don't know
Where do fallen angels go
They keep falling, falling, falling...

There's a candle burning...

**I guess they removed those other answers

I can't find the song you mean. Nothing comes up, and I don't recall a song like that by a female singer. There is a beautiful song by Willie Nelson called Angel Flying Too Close To The Ground. Here are the lyrics. Hope this helps. I will keep looking, and edit if I find anything.

If you had not have fallen
Then I would not have found you
Angel flying too close to the ground
And I patched up your broken wing
And hung around a while
Tried to keep your spirits up
While you were feelin' down
I knew someday that you would fly away
For love's the greatest healer to be found
So leave me if you need to
I will still remember
Angel flying too close to the ground
Fly on, fly on past the speed of sound
I'd rather see you up
Than see you down
Leave me if you need to
I will still remember
Angel flying too close to the ground
