I don't think anyone should slap people just because they are offended. Think of a good come back or walk away. Slapping someone because you are offended is pretty immature.
jeese...

I think when you slap someone you open the door for them to do the same. If someone offends me, depending on how assertive I feel at the time, I will either tell them where they can get off, try some humorous retort, or ignore them and walk away.

BTW, what is “unknowingly offended”?

I don't know why anyone thinks you advocate slapping someone. It's apparent in this posting and others you have done that you don't think slapping anyone is a good idea.

No, women shouldn't slap someone because of an offensive remark. Why would that make it ok? If it was something that was acceptable people would be hitting each other all day. Hitting should only be used as a form of defense against physical attack, not verbal. If the woman is smart enough to take offense she should be able to offend just as well.

Here we have the double standard exposed for everyone to see.

"Should WOMEN slap people..." Why isn't the question "should PEOPLE slap people"?

I think any woman who slaps people, or approves of women slapping people, should have no objection to other people slapping her or any other woman. If you're going to add slapping to the list of acceptable social interactions, it's there for everyone.

Just FYI: It's the dirty secret of the anti-domestic-violence crusade that females initiate domestic violence - in other words, they hit first - in the majority of domestic violence cases. Is this because there are a lot of women who think they can slap and get away with it? Might be.

No women should not slap anyone. Everywhere we look and everything we hear in our civilized world decries the use of violence against women. Is it ok for women to hit men as long as the man doesn't hit back? If women want to be big enough to slap someone then they'd better be damn well big enough to take it back. Violence is a 2 way street. If we allow it to be used against one group then we must allow it for all.

Girls don't have to slap, but the latter is usually worse (like a horrible life ruining rumor), but if something really offended a girl like me I'd diss them out. Only if that person was physically touching me and I didn't like it would I slap them.

They don't get offended by men stare at them it's only when it's a man they are not trying to catch stares at them that they get offended.

A slap is only appropriate if the woman is physically accosted. But then again, if she is physically molested, she can pretty do whatever she wants to defend herself. But, if it's only a remark or a leer, physical violence is not called for.

Slapping is a weenie way to exact revenge.
I have never slapped anyone, but I have made nasty sexual remarks in reply to a man who was trying to sexually harrass me. Boy was he ever surprised, but then he started to laugh and realized how obnoxious his own remarks had been.
