My bf broke up with me after 4 years b/c he was suddenly unhappy and I took the break up badly. I also asked him back but he told me to not have hope, he wants to be single, and told me to find another man.

I haven't contacted him since and I just want to know if he might one day call back. In a way, I keep blaming myself that i drove him away when i kept pestering him to come back during those weeks after we broke up. I should've stopped contacting him the minute we broke, that way he may actually have time to clear his thoughts, I guess I kept wanting to know the final decision that it just made him seal the deal. I feel like it's all my fault. I am moving on but I just want to know if other people's ex's called back or wanted them back. I know i need to move but my question is has anyone experienced something similar whose ex said the exact same thing but ended up coming back? Thanks

For goodness' sake have some pride, but get over yourself. So somebody dumped you? Happens to people all of the time. If you learned anything at all from this experience, then it wasn't a bad thing so long as you move on and stop looking back and don't drag this baggage into the next relationship.

Its tough to say. I never had an ex come back for a relationship. But I have had an ex try and come back for other things.

Its good to see that you're moving on...but you should really start acting as though you might never hear from him again and come to terms with that. Most men won't turn back after they made the decision to leave.

Its heart wrenching, I know, but keep being strong. IF, in fact, one day he calls you...deal with it when the time comes. Don't live your life wondering if he'll call...live it as though he won't. And keep your chin up...you'll find another man! : )

You never ever want to read deeper into someone's clear words when they say I don't want to be with you anymore. The best thing to do is forget it im sure he wasn't worth it anyways. My husband and i went back and forth for years of we want to be together we want to be apart and all we have ended up with is a marriage built on lies. We don't trust each other anymore and it all started because we couldn't be forward with each other from the beginning. Believe me he did you a favor!!

I have never had anyone break up with me....however I have done my fair share of the breaking up....I never go back. I leave for a reason and never forget what that reason was.
