Plus giving billions to Isreal, which has engaged in ethnic cleansing against the Palestinians for over half a century. That is genocide too.

Bush's U.S. and Bush himself has great relations with China,on all levels: trade, political and personal family.

If I were to follow the reasoning of all of you who protest about asking Turkey to recognise that their nation committed genocide against the Armenians reasoning that it happened a long time ago when it was part of the Ottoman Empire, then you would all have to agree to stop talking about the Jewish holocaust because it happened a long time ago and Germany was the 3rd Reich then and not the Federal Republic of Germany. The Fed Rep of Germany should cease paying reparations to individual Jews and especially cease giving money to Israel which didn't even exist as a state back in 1939-1945 at the time of the 3rd Reich.

I don't care if we have ruffled some Turkey feathers! Too bad. The U.S. should not pander to a lot of genocide -deniers just because some people think it is expedient not to. Turkey receives a lot in aid from us and it is not their place to be threatening the U.S. because a few home truths are discussed about their history.

It is probably true that the Dem. in Congress have only suddenly learned some history and are acting on it for purely partisan reasons. So what? That is legitimate and,if it gets us out of Iraq where we should never have been involved, that 's fine with me.

Turkey was necessary to us in the Cold War because of its proximity to the Soviet Union. That is no longer the case. The Cold war was won years ago, might I add, since all of you seem to think that anything that didn't take place 5 minutes ago isn't important.

Israel is the country with a double reason to be annoyed at the Dems.!
-1. they object to any group using ¨genocide¨or ¨holocaust¨ to describe massacres. They want these terms to be exclusively applied to the elimination of Jews under the 3rd Reich(oops, that happened a long time ago, maybe we should just forget about it).

-2. they want the U.S. in Iraq at all costs(to us,not to them obviously) and ,therefore, don't want Turkey's sensitivities tampered with. A ruffled Turkey might not comply so readily with U.S./Israeli plans for Iraq and the Middle East-Mediterranean region.

The condemnation of "Turkey" over something that happened
during the Ottoman Empire. That of which is virtually useless to agree to today. Is purely a political move to impact the benefits the US Govt as well as our US MILITARY have in Military Ops in that region of the world.
They know the way to stop progress in IRAQ is to impact the supply line our boys so desperately need. And some members
of the US CONGRESS will do anything to hinder or prevent any US VICTORY in IRAQ.
If you offend this great political Ally, Turkey will not allow US
Troops and Equipment to travel thru their borders. As well as
access to their Air Bases for field operations.

Uhmmm...it's the Bush family who has had close ties to communist China for decades. Bush 41 was Ambassador to China. His brother was Chairman of the America-China Chamber of Commerce. China is the only overseas country Bush 43 visited before becoming Governor of Texas.

The Bush family has made untold millions through their close relationship with communist party officials in China.

Dont supply them any suggestions... there reaction might look like this.... sure. we are based on coffee as an power source,, tens of millions of people prefer it to get going daily.. it additionally places an incredible tension on our power grid with all of those coffee makers firing up each and every morning and staying on "warmer" all day long. i think it could be taxed so the evil companies like Starbucks could be punished for no longer paying the Baristas. 69K a year.
