Ppl pass em around on the street for cheap tips...your hotel concierge would be able to take care of you as well..(they'd expect a tip). However, I hear they don't work..and if they do...you'll still be in a line..maybe just a shorter line. Best way to go...Table/Bottle service...ppl come to Vegas with money to blow...a lot of freebies just don't go around unless you're one of the big spenders...sadly in Vegas just being a spender won't get you noticed...ya gotta be a big spender.

Basically, the term "VIP" is ambiguous. There are websites that sell + promoters who walk around the strip and pass out quote "VIP passes." However, on a busy night the clubs will not honor them and they won't mean sh-- and you will be waiting in line and paying full cover like everyone else (if you can get in at all).
The only true 100% way of getting a VIP pass into a club is to reserve a VIP table with bottle service. A VIP table will get you and your group no wait in line and a table in the club for the night (otherwise you can't sit down and standing around a club all night is no fun). The catch is that bottles start at $400+ (for hotter clubs like Tao, Moon) and $325+ (for not so hot clubs like Rum Jungle, Voodoo). Additionally, you will be required to buy 1 bottle for every 3-4 people in your group. In other words. It's expensive. I personally think it's well worth it because 1) you and your group can sit and you will have a homebase in the club and want to stay all night. 2) your whole group bypasses the line 3) it's very easy to meet girls because girls who paid general admission (who are tired from dancing have nowhere to sit) come up and ask to sit at your booth.
Go to the club websites to find out how to book tables and the specific pricing for each club.

Yes there is...I love here in Vegas and you can most definitely get on the V.I.P. list (no waiting in line and sometimes free admission) One of the best ways to do this is to find someone on myspace. I have a few girls I keep as my "friends" that are club promoters and all you have to do is email them the day before you want to go and tell them your name and how many people you are bringing with you. You really should try to bring girls being that they get in a whole lot faster (if they are hot) and they do a male to female count...for every 10 girls they let like 1 guy in... you can find some of these myspace people by searching club names...pure, tao, tangerine, tryst..
I would never go to a club if I wasn't on the VIP List...you stand in line for like 2hrs...ahahahaha!

For free, you could probably only get them as a supplement to an already extravagantly paid vacation, especially if you are a guest of one of the hotel's expensive suites where the club is located. Or, if you gamble enough, you might earn enough points on a card to earn some through the hotel's particular casino.
You might be able to get some for a reduced rate by checking e-bay or craigslist, sometimes locals will have passes they can't use.
One thing you can try is to stay at the hotel and make friends with some of the other guests, and share the cost of a VIP bottle service table to get all of you in.

If you're considered a "high roller" or a "whale" at your casino, then you can get free passes. Otherwise, it's unlikely.
