"Why?" Because it's their nature. They don't have much brain, but they have an instinct to pick up the dead ant and put it down next to another dead ant. This happens randomly until the dead ants are in a pile, sometimes called the ants' graveyard. A colony of ants usually has more than one graveyard. It gets the dead ants out of the way of the living.

properly, first they carry about them away purely for the honour area of it yet then they take them to a public bathing room. After that, they flush them down the rest room and that they pass into ant heaven.
