I ask this as there has been alot of bulling in here and when the victims of the bullying post it in here they are told to kept it between themselves.
If I see some one bullying another memeber in here they will find their user names in my questions

That is absolutely the worst thing a person could do, to keep it to themselves. The only way that anyone can stop the bullying is if it is recognized as an inappropriate behavior and not tolerated. This is NOT an acceptable behavior, and the bullies must be made to realize this. I don't know who is telling people to not report it, but that is utterly wrong as well.

Isn't 'naming and shaming' just another form of bullying? It'd be very easy to make malicious accusations against someone and very difficult for them to counteract it once the accusation is in the public domain. If you want this problem resolved then why not ask YA why it permits people to post under multiple IDs because it always seems to be the same old names saying the same old rubbish, and they and their 'pals' all seem to appear at the same old time...

I would encourage them to tell the right people - and maybe make sure that everyone knows what the bully has been doing (show the emails, etc) If they report it to Yahoo! enough, then the bully might be banned, but unfortunately it might make it worse. I think it's terrible that it's going off, and the people who are doing it ought to be ashamed of themselves.

It could be brought to their attention that their questions or their answers are on the bullying side. No one should be bullied.
edit: Elvis has the right idea.

isn't that what the report abuse button is for, and the block user facility. i'm afraid if you do what you suggest doing, especially in news and events, you may just appear to be playing a game of tit for tat. its a problem across the board. i think the problem needs addressing. and of course bullying shouldn't be tolerated, but there are other routes to consider going down.

They are told to kept it between themselves becuase they are frightened to be found out. They are victims themselves as they are the pathetic little people who think that respect is something they can command and demand. When they learn that respect has to earned then they no longer will be bullies. Stand up to them you are not alone.

Strike back ... hard, direct and with your face set as flint!
When I was kid we didn't "Post It" we Punched it!
Look at that pathetic bully Rosie O'Donnell ... makes one want to heave, hurl and blow chunks every time she opens her orifice any orifice!
Bullys Ala Rosie O'Donnell only understand and dread one thing.
They dread, that others will discover how really fearful, insecure and inadequate on all levels they really are!
So they need to be hit hard and EXPOSED... Do It and then get a good Lawyer!

I have not seen that behavior taking place here on Y!A, but if it occurs in "real life" i would encourage that person to involve the police....puts an end to it very quickly.
