KABUL, Afghanistan - The U.S. military said Monday it had looked into allegations that soldiers had desecrated the Quran during a raid on an Afghan home and found no evidence that soldiers had defaced the Muslim holy book.

The allegations sparked an outcry among villagers in the eastern province of Kunar, who met with the governor, provincial leaders and U.S. military commanders on Sunday over the issue.

It gets worse.
The Dutch in Afghanistan are forbidden to bring bullets and are told not to engage in combat.
Within ear shot of Canadians being killed in a fire fight, they did nothing.
While they were standing around doing nothing, they accidentally stepped on some farmer's plants.(not sure if they were poppy plants. The Dutch, home to open drug addiction and prostitution are opposed to destroying poppy fields in Afghanistan saying it would be "counter productive")
The Netherlands sent in a team of horticulturists to repair the damage and improve the farmer's fields beyond what they stepped on.
So, it's not just the Quran. It's vegetation too.

Your numbers are incorrect There are a million.6 billion Muslims, no longer 2 billion, and 10 nobel prize winners, no longer 9. right this is a cool fact. There are a million.39 Billion chinese language voters in the persons's Republic of China, yet purely 10 chinese language voters have ever gained the award. Does that mean chinese language truthfully everyone seems to be idiots? Yes it is ridiculous. We should just tell them plain and simple we don't give a crap about their stupid books. Throw a few in a pile of manure and set them on fire. Then tell them we will shoot anyone who has a problem with it. We are there to do a job and their books are completely irrelevant to us. If your book was damaged buy a new one, but don't blame our soldiers for defending themselves when crazy Muslims with holy books attack them. No apology is necessary.

The irony is that we want our solders to raid homes but not damage books, while raiding. We have put them in an absurd situation. Even if they were being shot at by atheist the situation.would still be absurd.
