find the fuse block, it will be under the dash, or in the motor compartment, there are several fuses but they should be marked. if not look for the one that does not have the metal wire going all the way across. you will be able to tell by looking a several to see the difference. be sure to use the same amp rating when you replace it

Check your owners manual, to see the location of the fuse box. Some manuals will also tell which fuse is the right one, and the required amperage of its replacement.

READ YOU OWNERS MANUAL AND THE FUSE IS A LOT OF THE TIMES THE SAME FUSE AS THE DOME LIGHT.

there was a recall on some mk4's for a faulty brake light switch. give them a call and see if it's been repaired on your vehicle.
