Yes. My father died on St. Patrick's Day. It was 2 days shy of my 5th birthday, and we had the party that day because it was a Saturday. He died that night.
So, now I have two reasons to get plowed every March 17.
I heard somebody fixed today
There was no last goodbyes they say
His will to live ran out
I heard somebody turned to dust
Looking back at what he left
A list of plans and photographs
Songs that never will be sung
These are the things he won't get done
I've seen the man use the needle, seen the needle use the man
I've seen them crawl from the cradle to the gutter on their hands
They fight a war but it's fatal, it's so hard to understand
I've seen the man use the needle, I've seen the needle use the man
Just one shot to say goodbye
One last taste to mourn and cry, cry
Scores and shoots, the lights go dim
Just one shot to do him in
He hangs his head and wonders why
Why the monkey only lies
But pay the pauper he did choose
He hung his head inside the noose
I've seen the man use the needle, seen the needle use the man
I've seen them crawl from the cradle to the coffin on their hands
They fight a war but it's fatal, it's so hard to understand
I've seen the man use the needle, seen the needle use the man
Cryptic writing on the wall, the beginning of the end
I've seen myself use the needle, seen the needle in my hand
Use The Man - Megadeth

Depends how often and in what context I saw them when they were alive.
I miss my Mum every single day, for me the pain (after three years next month) is an every day thing which doesn't really change on things like mothers day and Christmas. This is because she was a part of my life on a daily basis.
I miss my Nan more though on family occasions and holidays and when I visit my Grandad. This is because she lived 100's of miles away and didn't see her often, except at family occasions and visiting her at her home.

1.Have you ever been close to someone who has died? If so, who? How close were you? Many People, Good friends... relatives- My grampa just recently. 2.Have you ever felt a strong sense of the presence of someone who has died? No 3.Have you ever had vivid memories of someone who has died? I have... Still do. 4.Vivid dreams? Yup 5.Do certain sights, sounds, smells, etc. bring back strong memories of a person? yes... 6.Do certain places (specific or unspecific) give you a strong sense of the dead? Um... no. Maybe a funeral home, but that's just the smell. 7.Have you ever felt the presence of a person/people that you did NOT personally know? (i.e. being in a place and sensing spirits of people who died long ago, sensing past unrest, etc. etc.) No

Yes, there are days, I miss the "wisest" woman in my family. My father's mother, Giovanna. For each little of my sorrows (when I was a child) she converted that particular day into something so special and all the pain and sadness, just faded away. I miss her dearly!!!

Yes-when I get lonely or sadI really miss my dad-he was my pal and best friend and now he's not there to talk to and do things with. Its been six years since he's been gone but at times the pain is still there as if it was yesterday..

I miss my aunt very much. There will be days that I smell roses and she pops into my mind. Or I will dream about her looking at my children( she never got to meet her grandbaby)
and she takes care of them. This weekend I asked my husband to go to the cemetery to visit her, we never went and now your question. Its fate. I have to go visit her.
thanks
