Let's say somebody (a close one, friend or bf/gf) trashes you, bashes you behind your back, plays you, puts you down, and then ditches you for somebody else, what is the perfect revenge? Is it to not overreact and not stoop to their level? Is it too ignore them, and live a better life? Or is it to pull the rug from under them and make them suffer a loss?

Tell his girlfriend and then post ads all over the internet saying that he has a car for sale for $50 that "still runs but needs work". Post the ads with the wrong name but his cell phone number so that he keeps getting calls. Sign him up for a ton of junk mail lists and register him with tons of local religious evangelists requesting home visits. Also if you have his work number; include his work number on your ads and sign him up for multi level marketing opportunities. One afternoon of work on your end should give him at least 1-2 weeks worth of misery and a lost girlfriend if shes got half a brain. Oh yea, and you could call his girlfriend if you have her number and act like you are calling from a local hospital and let her know that she has been listed as having had sex with someone that may have AIDS. Tell her she must schedule an appointment to get tested ASAP. Likely she'll freak and call him. But you will want to leave him a vague message saying "Hey there's something I gotta talk to you about- it's SERIOUS." And then NEVER answer your phone when he calls nor return any of his messages. The "bloke" will end up fessing to his girlfriend himself about all the other times he's cheated; on top of near having a heart attack and getting a much needed test anyway.

Taking the high road and not stooping to their level is by far the better revenge. Especially if you're presented with the opportunity for an angry confrontation and you're cordial and polite - even wishing them well.

They may not realize you're using every ounce of restraint to not bash them over the head, but they'll certainly feel pretty stupid when you don't stoop to their level.

I just had my own battle with myself over this very same thing. My best friend of 5 years got me fired over nothing just so she could have my position at work. OHHHHH how I wanted to kick her in the face... I just cried, sent her a mean text, and am slowly getting over it. I just wont be able to trust anyone again for a while. The best revenge is to sit back and wait for karma to take it's course..."what comes around goes around"! Good luck...Don't do anything that can get you in trouble!!!! :)

Smile , be happy in your life (especially when this "use to be friend" ) is in your presence. I have found that evil cannot stand goodness and the people around you will be attracted to goodness and respect you for showing others by your good example.

this has hapened tome before except for me the only thing i wanted (contrarily to you) was to get them out of my life, so i just ignored them, and ignoring got this tiny litle twist, it rly got my frend to think again, after that he was basically trying to be my frend for a few months but i just continued ignoring.
Since then i know that being ignored is the worse thing that can be done to anyone, who wants to be treated as if they dont exist, if u ignor the guy he'll soon be running after u and begging to b frends again

Find the one thing that will bug them the most and do that. I had a friend like that so I stopped talking to her. She calls everyday and I refuse to take her calls. It is driving her crazy and I Love It.

The wise man would say: Revenge can't change things, it can only fixate and exaggerate bad thoughts they have about you. Rise above it!

Ignore them. Be the bigger person here. Go on with life and be happy and get rid of the poisonous people in your life.

Don't get mad... get glad!!! Honestly, I think you should just ditch them forever. If you want to sound cheesey I would say you are such a good person you deserve better friends.
