When a team leads a best of 7 series 3-0, do think they have an advantage in each ensuing game because they are on a role and have momentum. Or do you think they have an advantage because the other team has to try harder because they are on the brink of elimination. Does this make the other team more prone to mistakes? Obviously I'm referring to the NLCS with the D'backs and Rockies, but I'm also referring to the fact there have only been 2 teams to come back and win a best of 7 after being down 3-0 (Boston Red Sox and a hockey team).

KIpper Jr: I'm not talking about an advantage in the series. Obviously it's much easier to win one game out of 4 than it is to win 4 in a row. I'm talking about an advantage in each individual game. And by the way, did you even bother to read my question and see where I mentioned the Red Sox?

A team leading 3-0 in a best of seven has many things working in their favor, not just one. Like the Rockies, it is an advantage playing game 4 at home. Like the Rockies, they have momentum on their side. But I believe the biggest factor when your up 3-0 is that you have ripped the heart out of your opponent to the point where they don't believe they can beat you. In the case of the Rockies they will have the advantage each of the ensuing games until game six, if the Diamondbacks can extend it, and than I believe the Diamondbacks would be favored at home in game seven.

They absolutely have an advantage, if the Rox lose, their season is not over and they live to play another day at Coors. If they win, they clinch the pennant in front of their home crowd and get to grab some R and R until the World Series begins. Even the Red Sox started their incredible comeback at home. The D'backs have shown they cannot compete with the Rox, even in Arizona with their ace on the bump, so knowing today could be their last game with their number four starter going for them has to have a huge psychological impact that may be hard for such a young team to play through. Instead of letting the game come to them, they might force the issue and make the little mistakes that cost ballgames.

They would have an advantage because the other team would have to win four games in a row to win the world series three to force a game seven so really the biggest factor is pressure epically the other teams pitching staff. Sorry Justin about the mistake.

The biggest factor is Pressure. The leading team has none and therefore has to be careful not to get too complacent. The trailing usually plays loose for the first few innings but if the game is close in the late innings, they start to get tight.

Well, within the steady season, he acquired particularly outplayed. Shooting Guard: Kobe Bryant: 27 ppg, five.four rpg, five apg. Shooting Guard:Dwayne Wade: 26.6 ppg, four.nine rpg, 6.6 apg Small Forward: LeBron James: 29.eight ppg, 7.a million rpg, 7 apg Power Forward: DIRK NOWITZKI: 25 ppg, 7.7 ppg, two.7 apg He virtually acquired outrebounded by means of a small ahead. Nuff' stated. Edit: But will have to Jason Kidd particularly be getting rebounds? This man is a PF, he will have to be taking the rebounds. Edit: Fair adequate, his stats say he is a high-quality participant. but if used to be the final time the Mavericks have particularly submit a well battle within the West? 2006 used to be so much specific, the Western Conference used to be ruled by means of the Spurs. The Lakers, Nuggets, and Thunder weren't virtually as well as they're now. It used to be open to someone with a well mismatch, with the Mavs had with Kidd and a well PF to mission Duncan. Now, Dirk cannot lead his crew beyond a useless S.A. crew. How do you assume him to be recounted with Wade( who KILLED the Mavericks), LeBron ( no explaination) or Kobe( Did you notice Game 6)? Edit: Here's the truly query: If the Cavaliers, who've a identical tale because the Mavericks with both green or burnt out avid gamers after which LeBron, how come they would a minimum of defeat the Chicago Bulls and submit a battle in opposition to the quality crew within the NBA? San Antonio is some distance from their beyond, but they ruled in opposition to the Mavericks. Dirk is not burnt out like Duncan. So why'd they lose so unhealthy? I'm no longer asking why he cannot win the Finals correct now. I'm asking why cannot he defeat a Spurs crew he without difficulty defeated within the steady season? But the query stays: They DOMINATED the Spurs within the steady season. Before the playoffs, they went three-a million. What converted?
