I would really grateful if anyone can advise me on the cost of installing a electric shower. Rough price a plumber would normally charge. UK only please. Many thanks

depends if you are just changing an existing shower, or installing one from scratch and were abouts you live, if only replacing an old one and you have bought a new shower should cost you between £60-£100, but if you required one installing from scratch, you need to decide which size i.e. 8.5kw or 9.5+ kw cos this depends on what size cable (power you will use to run it) and the cost of the job. also you need an electrical certificate from a approved electrician if installing a new circuit, so cost could be from about £250-£400 depending on materials used, but if you have a combi boiler better to use a mixer connected to the hot and cold supplies as this is more economical to run, cost about £100-£300 for mixer and about £100-£150 labour.

approved electrician, north west.

you will need a qualified electrician as well ..as he will need to run a cable from fuse board to shower ..as it is law to have separate mcb (mains circuit breaker)depending on degrees of difficulty i would say up to£500
