All my life, I've dreamed of becoming a father. At age 37, it hasn't happened yet. I've been with a couple of women who also wanted kids, but the time was never right. You know, finances or whatever. I've had a couple of potential mates who broke it off with me because they didn't want kids, even though I expressed flexibility in the matter. Anyway, do you suppose this ship has sailed for me? It'd still be wonderful, but I don't want to lose any more well-qualified partners because I'm chasing rainbows.

I just read where the top age for men was forty five years old, women was forty two years old.
You have to remember, in women they have different hormones, different levels of efficiencies that would warrant children, Some at this stage of life are beyond the capacity of child bearing and simply know it, while some are still in that "state" and do want a child.

I don't know how you'd chose. I've seen some pretty unorthodox methods like advertising in the newspaper, on-line has become popular, I do imagine there are other ways. Like a trailer with a sign in the driveway, don't say I suggested it though.

You men are so lucky because you really don't have a time limit! See for me, I wouldn't have anymore kids past the age of 30 but for a guy, it really doesn't mater. Although, I would say not after 45 as you have to think about the child, you still want to run around and play with them! But don't worry, your ship hasn't sailed and I'm sure when the time is right it will happen for you. Good luck!:)

Well I think that you still have time to have at least two children.. why are you so afraid of or at least have one, being a parent is wonderful and a blessing and not everyone who has children have big income.. as long as you have plenty love.. but yeah you better get started before your ship leaves children need a parent with lots of energy so you can play with them and enjoy them.. good luck.

I was 34 when I had a child and my husband was 39. I have heard of fathers much older than 39. Just find the right woman for you and if it is meant to be, it will be.

You are certainly not too old. Most of my husband's friends who are late 30s/early 40s only started their families in the last year or two. I guess the most important thing is to find a relationship you are happy in.

heck no... U could always marry someone younger..
I would definitely think about it within the next 3-5 years.. so u have a few good years with the little ones..
as long as u have money and a nanny.. u could wait as long as 45-50,,,

goood luck..

for men, not a big deal. its the womans body that has issues after the mid-late 30s. do some research on it. downs syndrome is more possible by like 300% if the lady is 36 or older. for each year after that, the percent increases by like 82% or something crazy...

I think thinking about having baby is great it shows you are a mature person, it is quite natural to think about having baby in that age. It is like a soul food. You probably have to search for a partner who are ready for that as you. don`t think about losing your partner think about what you feel and you need right now.

Guys have it good. You can mate with someone 10 years younger, or 15 years younger. You have time.
