Is it possible (and viable) to have the airconditioning system taken out of my dead Ford Laser and put in my Toyota Lightace van? If so, is this a very expensive operation? The van does not have aircon installed at all, so repairing it is not an option. The Laser's aircon is fantastic, but the rest of the car useless.

These kind of operation are very difficult, especially considering that you are going from Ford to Toyota. You be required to custom make or fabricate much of the duct work.

It would be cheaper to find purposfully made AC system for your Toyota (and recoupe some cost by selling your Ford whole or parts).

Also VAN usually have much more windows and require much more cooling. So what works for a car may not be enough for a VAN.

Good Luck.
