ladywood. yes they do stand up and protest against their government, but like so many protests here in the UK are a hiding to nothing. France is still over run with asylum seekers, illegal immigrants and crime.

France ain't that bad couldn't stand the french before i started doing alot of driving over there but after a while i got a feel for the place, the countryside is beautiful plenty of open spaces they don't build on every bit of land like we do and the food is great its not all frogs legs you know, and the people are friendly, i wouldn't mind getting a place out in the sticks doing it up and living there permanently just what has England got to offer these days not a great deal i think

We've stayed in France many times. We were always made very welcome. The countryside is beautiful , the locals are relaxed, friendly and always tried to speak in English to us. The children are well behaved and accompany their parents just about everywhere.
We called in at a holiday resort which was largely used by English tourists, and actually we were embarrassed with their behaviour - loud and foulmouthed and, that was just the kids. Believe me, we are no prudes either, but you could see all the other nationalities looking down on the way the English behaved. Given the chance, I'd live there tomorrow.

It's people like you who make a country stop and don't move forward (about your edit answer).
I don't like french, in the way that their women are known to use perfume instead of having a bath...
And they are a bit arrogant, generally speaking but there are exceptions like in any other country and we have to receive them with a smile.
