I get those a lot when speaking in public (or arguing with the Mrs)
It tends to be panic that does it for me. Your brain tries to fish for something, anything to say but that elusive word is like wet soap and just squides out of grasp.

yes i once was ordering a movie from pay-per-view (it was some horror movie) and the cable guy asked for my address and i couldnt remember it for the life of me. i had to look it up on an envolope.
