In the U.S. E-34 BMW with electric windows, there is a control panel switch with no lable. Function?

The control panel is just behind the shifter and contains 5 switches. Four switches are for raising and lowering the windows. A smaller, two position, fifth switch has no lable. What is the function of this unmarked switch?

Power window lock? keeps the kids from lowering the windows and jumping out.
