I see all my questions are left with delete and edit on them? My Avatar is waiting for a photograph. But it's the delete I am concerned about. Even after an hour it is still there. And one of my answers to izzy was deleted.

I can't get my avatar right either, I've tried to change mine after this one came up and the new one shows up other places, just not on Y/A. There seems to still be some glitches in the system. The other answers have explained well the use of the delete/edit button on your questions/answers. I just wanted to add that I'm here for you too.

don't know what's with the avatar, it does take awhile, on occasion for them to get posted. You might double check that you did everything you need to do, sometimes something gets overlooked and screws up everything. Think the "delete thing was explained as for YOUR use only and not to worry about it unless YOU want to edit or delete your question. A deleted answer, is another story, the great censor in the sky decided to zap it for whatever reason (they used to say why) and it just happens to all of or dismay.

justme honey...those "edit" and "delete" links are there for YOU AND YOU ALONE to decide to either change your answer with the edit, or delete it entirely if you have had a change of heart. NO ONE ELSE can see those edit and delete buttons, except for their VERY OWN questions.
And they continue to be available until the question is either resolved by the asker, or it goes into voting.
So do not despair, justme my dear...it is not a conspiracy aimed at you alone, but a tool for YOUR use provided by Yahoo.

Edit and delete are for your use only..no one else can see it..look @ the answer below or above yours..no edit or delete..you can add or subtract something by clicking on edit..or remove your answer by clicking on delete..

I can't wait to see your new pic. I have no idea how to do that but I'm still learning. We are all here for you. If we all get our answers deleted because of content, then this section will be blank. LOL!
