Yes, Mary Poppins (1964) quoted John Keats' epic poem, Endymion, 1818: A thing of beauty is a joy for ever: Its loveliness increases; it will never Pass into nothingness; but still will keep A bower quiet for us, and a sleep Full of sweet dreams, and health, and quiet breathing.

I think she had balls and at the same time she was lovely, so the mix was explosive, as the kids ended up doing what she wanted...cleaning up the room, putting the toys in their place, etc, etc...this showed us how we had to treat our future kids!! Just giving order doesn't work ( as it didn't work to the dad) and just being easygoing and non authoritarian doesn't work either ( as it didn't work to the mum)...everything in balance!! a little bit of both things is what Mary did and she succeed! She was a wise woman, the nanny every kid would want! I hope my point of view helps!! Have a nice day!!

She is one in a million, wish she would come live with me! I could then spend 24 hours a day here at YA instead of 23 here and 1 cleaning! lol

First movie I recall going to as a child. I always wanted to be able to clean like that. I wish she could just come and help me out.

I like her but I guess if I had to describe her personality as narcissistic. I still wish she was my sitter. (we couldn't afford a nanny)
